Hi-Tech At ITEC ... As Simulation Displays Find Immersive Prep Time Pays Dividends

01/06/2012

Simulation Displays, a division of Paradigm AV, celebrated its most successful trade show yet at this month’s ITEC Show at ExCeL London, focusing on the military training, simulation and education sectors.

Said CEO Greg Jeffreys, “We benefitted immensely from the high degree of technological preparation we put in, centred on an immersive curved screen display working with LED projectors from projectiondesign.”

Auto alignment, warping, blending and colour calibration were achieved using software from Scalable Display Technologies, distributed in the UK by Simulation Displays and Paradigm, while two other partners were also involved in the high-impact presentation.

With the concept devised using Bohemia Interactive’s VBS2 training software (showing the role playing scenarios), the screen was fed from a single Image Generator connected to an external n-Vidia Quadro Plex graphics engine provided by Novatech.

The Simulation Displays team of Greg Jeffreys and Business Development Manager, Henry van der Helm, were supported by Scalable Display Technologies’ Product Marketing Manager, Zachary Hurvitz.

“Over the three days we picked up a number of active leads,” confirmed Van der Helm. “ITEC provided a great opportunity to showcase our products, and proved an extremely successful showcase.”
